I moved to Bulgaria from UK to live in 2007. I lived there 7 years. A very beautiful country with of course "The Black Sea".

There is a very diverse history here with some of the oldest gold found on the planet. The roads are not the best though so traveling highways and back country roads takes a little care as there is often pot holes turn up to try and take you from you beloved two wheels.

The people in Bulgaria are super welcoming and the food is excellent.

If you visit be careful of "Rakija" the local home brew of the country but you for sure should try "Tsatsa" a fish dish and "Shopska Salad" very nice indeed.
