Well this was one amazing adventure.
We started around 16.00 hrs on Friday evening for a four hour ride to Lake Attersee.
Weather was extremely hot around 38 degrees and we made the choice of the country roads as to stay away from highways, much more exciting.
We was fully loaded and ready for camping in Austria, my friend Ladi also had his son on the back of him so plenty to carry for the trip.
We had a plan to do some Via Ferrata also in a gorge while there and some road trips around the area.
We arrived around 21.00 hrs so quite late and the first campsite we went too was full, we thought we would be sleeping rough but found a campsite with room enough so that became our base for the weekend.
As you can see to the right our camping was well sorted. Ladi takes everything and there would be nothing we could need that he wouldn't have for sure.
Via Ferrata is a crazy sport for sure, the image to the lower right is a grade 'c' so I believe and as it was my first time doing this I think was good enough for starters.
We headed through the gorge high up on the rock faces, some crazy bridges had to be navigated from one face to the opposite side.
We was sheltered due to the location which was cool as it again was 38 degrees. This only lasted until the end of the route as then we was exposed to the elements and heat.
Overall this was an amzing adventure and one I am sure to do again.
If any of you reading this decide to visit Lake Attersee I can tell you it is beautiful the roads are awesome and the scenery of the mountains around are spectacular.
